I doubt they are responsible for replacing anyone's individual box locks. They only have the master key to open the full set of mailboxes. (not answering? don't return messages? What?) Again, the PO does not have individual keys for the banks of mailboxes. This inside job offers the quickest and easiest method for lock replacement. With the mailbox door open, you can replace the lock from the inside. However, if you have to replace your lock, your postal carrier can use their arrow lock key to give you access. You were not real clear on what is happening when you do try to contact the PO. Normally, your USPS letter carrier doesnt need to unlock your mailbox for daily delivery. If it is your own home then all you can do is continue to try contacting the PO to ask them how to get the box open so you can take the old lock out and purchase a new lock and key. They only have their one master key that opens the whole banked unit. The PO does not have nor do they supply individual mailbox keys. I have no idea how you will get your mailbox open to get the lock out to purchase another lock and key(s). If you were supplied a key and then lost it/them then the lock replacement is your responsibility. Using the hammer as a lever at the same height as the lock, apply quick force and the door opens. Push the claw of your hammer into the opening and remove the screwdriver. Before you begin filling out empty spaces, verify if you have an actual form.
